Just watch the crows make circles up above,
What do they see when they encounter love?
Does their blackness become apparent to them,
Will they ever know the meanings we ascribe to them?
Because all I can do is pretend I'm going home to you,
And all I can say is you never made me feel that way,
Crows like these come and go as they please,
And all I know is I'm wrong.
Does the castle you built for yourself look nice,
Like in that dream you had, is it so precise?
If we wander longer, will we ever find
That little piece of truth or just a peace of mind.
Crows like those help themselves,
Who knows what else they've got up their sleeves.
Hell no, I won't leave, that's right I love this town,
But it's just not the same when you go and
Flip the whole damn place upside down,
"Dollars spent on cigarettes, that's all I really lost," she said.
Crows like these come and go as they please,
And all I know is I'm wrong.
Staring faces in the strangest places,
They have their tongues out of their mouths
And god their eyes are all bulging out,
Now we're out of here, oh help me, how do I get out of here?
All I know is I'm scared.
